중학교 학생들의 과학과 생물영역에 대한 학습 흥미도 분석

제7차 과학과 교육과정에서는 실생활에 관련된 소재를 선정하여 과학 학습에 대한 흥미와 관심 제고 및 문제해결능력을 함앙하는 것을 주된 개정 내용으로 하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 부산광역시에 소재한 중학교의 2학년 학생들을 대상으로 현재 시행되고 있는 제7차 중학교 과학과 교육과정 생물 영역에 대한 학습 내용별 흥미도와 교사 성별，태도 및 학생의 학습 시간 등 다양한 학습 배경 변인에 따른 학습 흥미도의 경향을 분석함으로써 교사로 하여금 효율적인 교수-학습 전략을 수립·실행하는데 필요한 기초 정보를 제공하기 위해 수행되었으며 연구 결과를 요약·제시하면 다음과 같다.

첫째, 학습 주제별 학습 흥미도는 보통 수준이었으며, 3개 영역 중 ‘생명의 항상성’에 대한 흥미도가 가장 높았고 ‘생물의 특성’ 영역이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학생의 성별에 따라서는 대부분의 주제에서 남학생이 여학생보다 흥미도가 높았으며, 특히 ‘생명의 항상성’ 영역에서 남녀 학생간 흥미도의 차이가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학습 배경 변인별로 살펴보면 교사의 성별에 따라서는 유의한 차이가 없었으나 교사의 태도, 수업형태, 실험 빈도, 학습 시간 등 그 밖의 변인에 따라서는 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

결론적으로 본 연구를 통해서 학생들은 실생활에서 접할 수 있는 인체에 관한 내용이나 심화학습에서 다루는 내용에 대해서는 상대적으로 흥미도가 높게 나타나 실생활과 관련된 소재를 선정하여 과학 학습에 대한 흥미와 관심을 제고시킨다는 제7차 교육과정의 개정 취지가 잘 반영되어 운영되고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

“Science” of the 7th national curriculum in middle school amend that, students activate interest and ability of problem solving to select a theme in relation on to real life. So the purpose of this study are to examine the student's interest toward biology and various of the learning background variable, for example, sex and attitude of teacher , learning time, who are in the second grade of middle school in Busan. And to offer basic information. There is necessary for the teacher establish and perform to effective teaching - learning strategies.

Main results of this study can be summarized as follow.

Interest degree toward the biology subject is usual. The highest interest level in was homeostasis. And the least level in was character of organism. With respect to the whole learning contents and student's interest degree concerning biology subject, male student's interest level was higher than the female student's interest level. Specially, there is a great difference female student's interest level between male student's interest level in subject of homeostasis. In learning background variable, there is insignificant difference interest level about teacher of sex. But significant difference interest level about teacher of attitude and instructional form, frequency of experiment, learning time.

In conclusion, this research outcome is that, students have the higher interest degree subject of the human body and enrichment program. So science of the 7th curriculum achieve an amended bill’s object.
