ABSTRACT

This study purports to provide the criteria to assess the effectiveness of the program for writing skill improvement and develop the web-based system to assist the portfolio assessment process. The development of tools and support system for assessment of the quality and quantity of the task process and results are fully required as the writing is the one of the performance task. This study describes the assessment methods according as the properties and contents of writing task, the procedures for the development of the evaluation criteria and criteria themselves, and the web-based system resources and resource characteristics for writing portfolio assessment.
