요약

현행 교과용도서에 관한 규정은 최근 인정제도의 변화를 충실히 반영하지 못하고 있다. 특히 국ㆍ검정도서의 보완재적 성격을 갖는 인정도서가 최근 교육현장에서 다수를 차지하게 되면서 인정도서의 법적 지위와 심의 절차 전반에 관한 관련 법규의 개정이 필요한 시점이다. 본 연구는 인정도서의 중요성이 부각되는 최근의 추세를 반영하여 현실 제도에 부합하지 않은 일부 조항들의 개정안을 제시하였다. 무엇보다 과거 국ㆍ검정 중심의 교과서관이 반영된 조항을 개정하여 인정도서의 법적 지위를 재정의하였고, 개발과 심사에 필요한 기간을 합리적으로 규정함으로써 양질의 인정도서가 개발될 수 있는 법적 근거를 마련하였다.
